First, she showed us how to make buttercream icing and frost a sheet cake.
Then, she told us about the different tips for frosting a cake. She showed us how to use the icing bags and how to place the tips on the bag.
We learned the different things that each tip could do. She passed out cupcakes and frosting to everyone in the class. Each child also received a bag to share with others that had a frosting tip on it. After putting a base layer of frosting on the cupcake, the children practiced using different tips, then adding decoration as a final touch.
We learned a lot and got to taste-test our delicious creations!
